Nyle DiMarco hit a milestone birthday on Wednesday, May 8. The droolworthy actor, model and advocate officially turned 30.

We first came to know Nyle in 2014 on the Freeform network’s Switched at Birth. He then made the successful transition into reality television by winning two major shows: America’s Next Top Model in 2015 and Dancing with the Stars in 2016. He made history by being the first deaf contestant to win on either program.

Nyle has broken from the pack of cursed ANTM contestants who have a hard time not only finding success after the show but staying relevant as well. He has modeled for Giorgio Armani, scored countless magazine covers and was also featured in Dan + Shay‘s music video “Tequila.”

He has also brought a ton of awareness to deaf culture over the past couple of years. Nyle is a spokesperson for LEAD-K (Language Equality and Acquisition for Deaf Kids). He is also a signer and creative collaborator on The ASL App and also started The Nyle DiMarco Foundation, a non-profit organization providing access to resources for deaf children and their families.

Nyle has been open about his personal life and preferences as well. OUT reported back in 2015 about a tweet he made in response to someone asking if he liked guys or girls more. “Fluid,” he responded.
