Finding support to deal with addiction issues is difficult enough for Deaf people in ordinary times. With social and physical restrictions in place in most states today, Deaf people seeking support for alcohol and drug addiction face even more barriers. The isolation, boredom, and anxiety/depression of sheltering in place also poses the risk of people drinking or using drugs more frequently or in greater quantities than before, placing them at risk for developing addiction issues. Keven Poore discusses current addiction issues and shares some resources for the Deaf community. Transcript in comment section below. #deafaddiction #deafcoronavirus #addictionresources
