FLINT, MI — All Michigan School for the Deaf staff have been notified they will be laid off on Fridays through July.
The school’s staff are included in a Gov. Gretchen Whitmer executive order requiring most state employees to take one temporary layoff day per week through July 25, MSD Deputy Superintendent Scott Koenigsknecht said in a letter to parents Monday, May 18.
As a result, all MSD State of Michigan employees will not be available to work or respond to any communications on Fridays. This includes all academic, office, residential and administrative staff.
